A court in Munich sentenced a terrorist supporter to 10 years in prison for a crime against humanity and complicity in the murder of a five-year-old girl.
Jennifer Vanish, a German citizen who converted to Islam, joined the ISIS group banned in Russia and in 2014 went to Iraq, where, guided by ideological motives, she married a jihadist.
According to the investigation, the couple captured a Yazidi girl into slavery. Once the husband of the accused chained her in the yard in the scorching sun, after which the child died of thirst
The case file indicates that Venish was an employee of the morality police created by extremists in Mosul and Fallujah.
The 30-year-old German denies her guilt. She was arrested in Turkey in 2015 and extradited to her homeland. The trial of her husband, Iraqi militant Tahir al-Jumaili, is taking place in Frankfurt, sentencing is expected next month.
