U.S. Defense Secretary to visit Georgia in October

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin will visit Ukraine, Georgia, Romania and Belgium next week. This was announced at a briefing by Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby.
"The minister and his team will be preparing for a trip to Europe next week. Stops will include Georgia, Ukraine and Romania, and he will conclude this important visit in Brussels with allies and partners at a meeting of NATO defense ministers," Kirby said.
According to him, a "more official announcement" regarding this Austin tour is likely to be made by the Pentagon in the next couple of days.
A meeting of NATO defense ministers will be held in Brussels on October 21-22. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will preside over it.
