Yezidi wrestler Malkhas Amoyan became the world champion

At the World Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship in Oslo, the Armenian national team won the first gold medal.

A Greco-Roman wrestler of Yezidi origin, Malkhaz Amoyan, defeated Russian Sergey Kutuzov in the final of the 72 kg weight category with a score of 3:1.

Amoyan started his way to the championship gold with the 1/8 finals, when he defeated Norway's Havard Jorgensen with a score of 8-0. In the quarterfinals of Amoyan's attacks, Lithuanian Kristupas on the Left failed - 5.0. In the semifinals, our wrestler defeated Iranian Mohamad Mokhtari - 10:6.
