Dear compatriots, dear Yezidis! We, the Cultural Center of the Yezidis of the Caucasus, would like to invite you to view and read the interpretation of one of the respected Sheikhs Rostame Sheikh:

"When the question is raised, what is the name of our national religion "Yezidism" or Sharfadin, " this is at least a provocation, and at most - not respect and ignorance of the history of their people. I'll explain why I think so. We all know that Sheikh Ady reformed our religion in the 12th century, or rather, introduced a hundred new canons and prohibitions, which are known by (Qawl) as (had u sad). Ady reformed the ancient Yazidi religion "Yezidism". We perceive ourselves from Yezidism (bahe koza sltan Ezid), the rite (bsk), the sheikhs were (mavia) - the teacher, the piri were (khosta) - a master craftsman and the people of Adab. After the reform (mawla) became a sheikh, a master craftsman became a pir, and Adabya became a mridhan (follower), and this position we see in the Testimonies about the Religion of the Yezidis ( shadatya dine ezdya) - shkr sheh Adi ma dani sar pashea (ohr) sheha at pir, shehe mn-mawlai mn, pir mn-khostay mn. On the basis of "Yezidism", Sheikh Ady introduced a hundred new canons and was very respectful of the ancient name of the King of God Ezid (sar atkat imanakh bmrn) - let's stay and die on the faith of our ancestors, he had every right to be called by the name of Shihadi for his merit (amak) by our national religion. We know from history that in ancient Media the prophet Zarathustra reformed the religion "Avest", and everyone calls this religion" Zoroastrianism"in honor of the prophet.
Since history has developed in such a way that after the death of Sheikh Ady-the grandson of Hassan (Shikhsn), the brother of Sheikh Ady Sharfadin, known in kavlakh as (Sharfadin pse Shikhsna) - declares himself the heir and successor of the cause of Sheikh Ady, who made his contribution to the Sharfadin religion, which we have today. It is necessary to respect the history of religion, the contribution of reformers and not to deny the fanatically ancient religion of "Yezidism", as some young carriers of knowledge of religion (kavle azbari) do and create a muddle, interfere with facts with mythology.
To deny "Yezidism" means to deprive the people of its history and to refuse to all of us the rites of "BSK” and "shehe bsk".
Do not forget the foundation of “Sharfadin" is "Yezidism".
