YAZIDI COSMOGONIC MYTHS. TO THE QUESTION OF COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF YEZIDISM, AHL-HAQQ AND ZOROASTRIANISM
The main motives of the cosmogony myth are the creation of a world center, which is often called the "Center of the World" and this space is sacred. Through this axis passes the axis of the world, thus connecting the Earth and man with heaven and the Creator. Perhaps that is why in the traditional beliefs of the peoples of Central Asia occupy a special place in the axis, the mountain, the pillar, the throne of the Lord, the cosmic Tree (Tree of Life). According to Yazidi myths, a special place belongs to a Tree called "Dara Herherê" (Infinite Tree)
In yazidism there is a legend that precedes the creation of the world, which tells that in the beginning there was a large ocean and in the center of the ocean grew the Eternal Tree (Vai Hererê). On it sat the "great white bird as Light" (Nûr), and it was the Lord himself (Xweda). Jibrail (Jibra'îl), is also in the way birds flew next to the tree, where was God, but Jibrail didn't know who was next to him while using Saksena angel (Melek de Equidade de êxisin) is not realized that a large white bird its Creator (Some identify the way the jib-Raila way Tausi Malak). This legend I heard and recorded from the words of several Yazidis from Armenia, Iraq and Turkey.

This world was the ocean. In the middle
the world was a tree. It was called
The Eternal Tree ("Dara Herherê").
The Lord in the form of a bird sat on
this tree. They say that
Jibrail appeared and stood up.-
against Him. At that time angels did not
they knew neither God nor each other.
Jibrail came [and] stood up-
against [Him].
The Lord asked, "Who are you and who am I?»
He (Jibrail) replied: "You are
you I am." The Lord said, "I
give you something. Go [and]
put it in that corner of the world. Upon-
example, put it in the West
[corner] of the world." That is, they say,
[that] while the world has shrunk, in CA-
the four parts of it were waiting.
it is necessary on one sign.
Carried it away and left it in each
parts of the world. It was Gibrail.
Then Jibrail came to the angel
Senesino. And asked him: "Bird,
[what] like the Light, on this Dere-
ve asks me, "Who are you,
who am I?"[Angel Seksen]
asked [Jibrail]: "[A] you that
answer?"[Jibrail] said:
"You are you, I am I." [He] said:
"No!"[And] explained, 'We were
created from this Light. He is.
Our Lord!"[Angel Seksen]
said, "Answer [Him], 'You are
Creator, I am creation."
So when Jibrail left [and] sat down
[to the tree], [Lord] asked
[him]: "Who are you, who am I?".
Then Jibrail replied, "You are.
Creator, I am creation." [GOS-
pod] said: "Let it be merciful over
your mentor!" I. e. Sheikh
Hassan instructed Jibrail. And
only then did He (the Lord) create
world.
The mention of a Tree growing in the center of the world can also be found in the Yezidi Prayer of Faith (Du'a Baweriyê, verses 5-7), where it is described as a tree, roots;
