The Ministry of health announces the establishment of a hospital in Sinjar
The Iraqi Ministry of health has approved guidelines for the construction of a 100-bed hospital in the Sinjar district of Nineveh Governorate, in coordination with the Nadia Murad Initiative and the French government.
The Minister of health and environment instructed Hossam Alwan Karim, Director General of the Department of projects and engineering services, to review the project and start construction. In turn, Alwan instructed the Department's engineer to form special committees and participate in the construction together with the French side. Construction is to begin on Nadi's initiative to create a hospital (100 beds) in the Sinjar district of Mosul.
Karim stressed that the Department's engineers are following all the procedures that would speed up the start of this hospital for the residents of Sinjar, because this region needs special care and comprehensive medical services due to the destruction of most of the infrastructure in the Sinjar area by ISIL.
