Gov't familiarizes itself with CEC presentation on e-voting
The Government of Georgia familiarized itself with the presentation of Central Election Commission (CEC) Chairman Giorgi Kalandarishvili concerning legislative innovations and procedures designed to introduce electronic technologies in the process of voting.
The CEC Chairman briefed in detail the Prime Minister and the Members of the Cabinet of Ministers about the process of the CEC’s preparations and technological innovations for e-voting in the upcoming parliamentary elections in 2024. As the Prime Minister pointed out, holding electronic voting, and the implementation of reforms in this direction, will further promote the transparency of elections.
Large-scale electronic voting will be held in Georgia for the first time. In this regard, the Election Administration is carrying out a series of awareness campaigns in both public and private structures across the country.
