This week, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi visited the Sinjar district and the village of Kojo, which were destroyed by ISIS seven years ago.
During his visit to the village of Kocho, al-Kazemi met with Yazidis who had survived the brutality of ISIS, the villagers put forward several demands to Al-Kazemi, all of them related to the situation in the Sinjar region and the Yazidi population.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister said that his government will release all the Yazidi girls abducted by ISIS in the summer of 2014, wherever they are, the girls will receive freedom and justice, their rights.
Al-Kazemi stressed the need to achieve justice without resorting to revenge in the region, stressing that the land of Sinjar is a pure holy land for the Yazidi population, in which all the sons of Iraq participated in its liberation from ISIS.
Addressing the Yezidis of the village of Kocho, Al-Kazemi said: "Today we are among you to remember the crimes of ISIS and the pain caused by it, but this pain will strengthen us in the face of terrorism and nothing will stop us from restoring our homeland and respecting its political, ethnic and religious pluralism.
It is worth noting that the visit took place after several meetings were held in Mosul, including a cabinet meeting, at which the Prime Minister got acquainted with some projects in the province, and then visited the Sinjar district and the village of Kocho.
