Right-hand drive cars that will pass the initial periodic inspection will not be able to pass it again with the transferred steering wheel.

In addition, from April 1, right-hand drive cars with headlights that do not meet European standards will not be able to pass inspection, even when pasting special stickers.

Since July 1, 2018, technical inspection has become mandatory for passenger vehicles registered to legal entities, as well as for cars owned by the state.since October 1, 2018, the innovation has affected passenger vehicles with an engine capacity exceeding 3.0, and since January 1, 2019 – for all vehicles.

The cost of the service for passenger cars is 60 lari (about 20.8 dollars), for trucks - 100 lari (more than 34.6 dollars).
