The plaintiffs refuse to get ID cards and passports because of the chips, which they say are a means of total control of people

The constitutional court of Georgia partially accepted the claim of two citizens of the country, who consider it unacceptable to issue identity cards and passports only with electronic media, that is, with chips.

The constitutional court decided to consider the constitutionality of only the norm-concerning identity cards, and until the final decision is made, its action will be suspended.

Nana Sepashvili and Iya Rekhviashvili appealed to the court.

"They claim that identity cards and passports containing electronic media (chips) are a means of total control of people and are associated with the biblical prophecy of the Apocalypse," - said in a statement on the website of the court.

Accordingly, the plaintiffs, because of their faith, refuse to take such documents, remain without identity cards and passports, which leads to their complete isolation from social life and limits their constitutional rights.

Without documents, it is impossible to participate in elections in Georgia, get medical services, study, work, use certain types of transport, communicate with banking and financial institutions, and so on.
