The Peshmerga of Kurdistan and security forces captured a number of jihadists of the terrorist group is (IG, banned in Russia), guilty of killing Yazidis.

Speaking to Kurdistan 24, the Kurdistan Regional government's coordinator for international propaganda, Dindar Zebari, said a large number of arrested militants had been found guilty of crimes against Yazidi women and girls.

Zebari did not mention how many jihadists were captured, but noted that some of them tried to hide under the guise of refugees.

The KRK has already handed over 1,200 jihadists to the Iraqi government.
