The effective participation of the Yazidi community in the countries of residence (in this case, the countries of the South Caucasus) includes the economic and social aspects of their lives, as well as their involvement in the political and social environment. This participation involves not only removing government obstacles to equal access Yazidis sectors of the economy and social services, but also requires that the state promote the participation of the Yezidi community in the distribution of wealth and economic performance. The availability of reliable and easily accessible information resources is essential for combating discrimination in the socio-economic sector and promoting effective equality. Thus, the Yazidi community needs to regularly collect information on the socio-economic and educational situation of the Yazidi community in order to compare their situation with that of the majority of the population.
It is clear to all that, at the first stage, it was important for effective participation in social and economic life to have legislation prohibiting discrimination on ethnic grounds by public and private actors. This legislation should in fact cover areas such as employment, housing, health and social protection. It is also very important that remedies be available in cases of discrimination and that special attention be paid to the many forms of discrimination suffered by women belonging to the Yazidi community. The participation of the Yazidi minority in socio-economic life is sometimes hampered by administrative barriers, as well as a lack of understanding by state institutions of the cultural context and the special needs of the Yazidi community. In this regard, there is a great need to develop training programs for civil servants so that they can adequately respond to the needs of the Yazidi community. Information about public services and institutions of the social security system needs to be easily available in Yezidi language, in the cases of compact residence. The Yazidi community needs assistance in hiring. Yazidi villages living in economically stagnant regions, such as rural, isolated and border areas, should be subject to special measures to ensure their effective participation in social and economic life. In addition, in order to ensure real equality, there is a need to take socio-economic measures against the disadvantaged Yazidi community. In order to facilitate the effective integration of the Yazidi community into social and economic life, comprehensive and long-term strategies must be developed and effectively implemented. Their implementation should be accompanied by monitoring and their results evaluated in close cooperation with stakeholders. The Yazidi community needs to remove all artificial obstacles and requirements that impede the economic activities inherent in the Yazidi community.
Lands traditionally used by the Yazidi community should receive special and effective protection. Representatives of the Yazidi community should be actively involved in decisions related to land rights and land use in their traditional areas of residence. Access to the labour market and to basic social and public services should not be restricted by unreasonable language or residence requirements affecting persons belonging to the Yazidi community. At the same time, the Yazidi community must be provided with conditions that make the process of residence registration easily accessible and prevent direct or indirect discrimination against Yazidis.

In the field of health services, there is a need to provide appropriate training for medical and administrative personnel and to encourage the employment of intermediaries belonging to the Yazidi community.
