Ex-Minister of education will deal with the project of the University of artificial intelligence
Former Minister of education, science, culture and sports of Georgia Mikhail Batiashvili will be engaged in the project of the first artificial intelligence University in the region.
The University of artificial intelligence will operate on the basis of the University of business and technology of Georgia (BTU). Batiashvili will take the post of Chairman of the Supervisory Board of both universities.
In this position, he will work with international companies such as HP and Microsoft.
"This will be the first region-wide educational space that integrates artificial intelligence into education and different business sectors," the University said in a statement.
The University of business and technology is equipped with laboratories, research center, common working spaces, electronic library, classrooms and so on.
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to use the HP technology laboratory, implement training and research projects of Microsoft, among them AI Business School, AI Academy and others. It is also planned to hold scientific conferences on the topic of artificial intelligence, summits and so on.
The initiative to create the first artificial intelligence University in the world was announced in October 2019 in Abu Dhabi, it will start functioning in September 2020.
BTU AI will be the first University in the region to work towards the development of artificial intelligence.
International organizations predict that the global artificial intelligence market will reach four trillion dollars by 2022. Its capabilities will be used to increase the efficiency of the sectors of health, Finance, agriculture, security and so on.
