Italian sculptor of Georgian origin Prasto (Vazha Mekaberidze) gave his sculpture N'uovo (egg) as a gift to Tbilisi, the city hall said.

The author created the sculpture at his own expense. Following Mikaberidze came to Tbilisi specifically for the opening ceremony of the monument.

Sculpture height of about four meters, which was installed on the square of the First Republic, is a monument in the shape of an egg. Prasto gave a similar sculpture as a gift to the Italian city of pietrasante, where he lives and works for a long time. The city is known for its centuries-old traditions in the processing of marble and bronze. The sculpture was installed in 2016 in the Park La Versiliana.

Prasto's works are kept in private collections and state galleries of Georgia, Italy and Russia.

The sculptor combined a whole series of works in the exhibition "equilibrium", where all the exhibits have an egg-shaped shape and echo the Easter theme.

Prasto was born in Tbilisi. He has been living and working in Italy for almost a quarter of a century since 1993. He graduated From the riachi Academy in Florence, previously studied at the Tbilisi Academy of arts.
