29-30 March in the German city of Oldenburg, was held a forum in honor of the 25th anniversary of the "house of Yazidis in Oldenburg" Director of the center is Shaab Dagi and co-head Telim Tolani. Members of the Yazidi spiritual Council, namely Dmitry Pirbari and Alikhan Babaev, went there from Georgia. The first appearance of Yazidis in Germany was 50 years ago. In August 2014, after the genocide of the Yazidis of Sinjara, which was carried out by the "Islamic state" (ISIL), the flow of refugees increased significantly in Germany. The Oldenburg Yazidi community not only cares about the Yazidis who are in Germany, but also helps the victims of genocide living in refugee camps. The forum also invited members of the German Bundestag Stefan Albany and Thomas Kossendey (Christian democratic Union of Germany/CDU), Peter Mainland (green), Denise Kind and NABA Khan (German socialist party / SPD), Amir Muhammad Ali (left wing party), as well as representatives of the Christian Church. At the forum there was a speech about the culture , religion and traditions of Yazidis.On the second day, representatives of the forum went to the Yazidi cemetery, the territory of which was presented by the administration of the city of Oldenburg. In turn, Dmitry Pirbari read prayers (kavl) over the graves. These types of forums strengthen the connection of Yazidi communities from different countries , which is beneficial for the future generation.
