The foreign Ministers of Georgia and Armenia discussed issues of cooperation between the two countries

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Georgia Davit Zalkaliani met with his Armenian counterpart Zohrab Mnatsakanyan. The meeting of the Ministers took place within the framework of the visit of Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia to the Republic of Armenia.

According to the Georgian foreign Ministry, the Ministers discussed issues of cooperation between Georgia and Armenia in bilateral and multilateral formats. Special attention was paid to the deepening of bilateral trade and economic ties and the development of cooperation in the field of tourism. The Ministers also discussed security challenges in the region.

"The positive dynamics of relations between the two countries was noted with satisfaction and the centuries — old friendship and good-neighborly relations between Georgia and Armenia were emphasized," the foreign Ministry said.

At the same time, the Ministers expressed readiness to actively cooperate in the future to strengthen the traditional relations between Georgia and Armenia.
