The international monetary Fund (IMF) has lowered the GDP growth forecast in Georgia for 2020 from 5% to 4.8%, according to the regular review of the world Economic Outlook Fund.
In the October issue of the World economy: synchronized slowdown, volatile Outlook, the IMF forecasts a slight acceleration in global growth from 3 percent in 2019 to 3.4 percent in 2020, another revision of April forecasts to a 0.2 percent decline. However, unlike synchronized deceleration, this recovery is limited in scope and fragile.
