Visiting Armenia, the head of the" Сultural Center of the Caucasus Yezidis " visited the yazidi village of RIA Taza (Kondasaz), visiting the former school principal David Atashiyan. The former Director of the school spoke about the resettlement of the yazidi community from Turkey in Kars district to Armenia in Aragats district, where at the moment there are 11 Yazidi villages. The first settlement moved to the Ushi and Agart, but were unable to settle down and moved to the village Kondasaz new name of RYA Taza.

The village has an estimated population of 960. The local school has 101 students. Five years ago, the school had 250 students. In five years, there has been a large migration of the Yazidi population. Previously, most of the Yazidis migrated to Russia, but at the moment the trend has changed and most families migrate to Europe.

In Yazidi villages, optional Yazidi language lessons are held from grades 3 to 12. David Atashiyan showed us the textbooks on which the school is trained, the program in them is written by Jasme Jalil. Textbooks are published in Cyrillic (in the past, training was conducted in Latin). The current trend of education is that children need to learn the language in Latin. The schools also have a fully equipped computer science classroom. Along with learning their native language, children learn Armenian and English at school. The school has 20 teachers, including 4 teachers of the Yazidi language.

Local principals and teachers thank the government of Armenia for the opportunity to learn their native language.

In the village, the main activity is cattle breeding.

Young people age which reaches 18 years, as and been paved, go in army republics.

While our editorial staff was visiting, we realized how hard it is to live in the village. So as, on today's day in yazidi rural areas big disruptions with water. And on the last day of our stay in addition also disconnected the electric power.
