The state supports the Anaklia project and it will be implemented in any case, - Natia Turnava, Minister of economy and sustainable development of Georgia, told reporters. Speaking about the government program, she noted that everything will be done in the country for the development of local business and economic development in the regions.

As for Anaklia port, Tornava borrowed the words of Prime Minister George Gakharia and said that Anaklia is a project more significant and strategic than concerning only two investors.

"This is the only commercial project that is reflected in the Constitution of Georgia. Accordingly, no private group has ownership of it. Of course, we would like the Anaklia development Consortium to fulfill its obligations in a timely manner and this project has developed, but the fate of Anaklia is primarily in the hands of the state, the state supports this project and it will be implemented in any case," Turnava said.
