An action under the slogan "Do not take away from two percent of applicants the right to become students"was held at the building of the Ministry of education of Georgia in Tbilisi today.

The action was held by more than 600 applicants who managed to overcome the minimum barrier in all subjects in the Unified national exams, but were unable to enter the University because of the high competition in their chosen programs.

In order to become a student in Georgia, an applicant must pass four exams. Of these, three are compulsory-Georgian language and literature, General skills, foreign language, and one is optional-literature, mathematics, history, geography, chemistry, physics, biology, fine and applied arts, or civic education.

In 2020 students will take four, and three required exams. It was decided to abolish the subject of General skills, which is not taught in schools in the country. General skills applicants will take only if it requires a particular University.
