EU countries issued up to 35 thousand residence permits to Georgian citizens in 2022
About 35 thousand Georgian citizens received primary residence permits in the EU member states in 2022, according to data on the Eurostat website.
The primary residence permit in the EU is considered to be issued residence permits, as well as any documents authorizing a stay in the territory of an EU country for a period of more than three months.
Poland issued the most residence permits to Georgian citizens last year – 15,569, Italy (8,698), and Germany (2,813). Georgian citizens received the least residence permits in Luxembourg (1), Romania (3), Cyprus (3), Slovenia (5).

• 14 095 – 2020 year
• 9 551 – 2019 year
• 10 498 – 2018 year
