Georgian Justice Ministry has deemed it appropriate to terminate the citizenship of former Prosecutor General of Georgia Otar Partskhaladze, who had fallen under US sanctions. Earlier it became known that he is a Russian citizen.
"Agency for the development of public services found it appropriate to terminate the Georgian citizenship of Otar Partskhaladze. The corresponding conclusion was sent to the President of Georgia", - stated in the message of the Ministry of justice.
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili earlier spoke about the need to revoke the citizenship of Partskhaladze, who, according to Washington, was actively working with the Russian FSB to "influence Georgian society and politics in favor of Russia".
