Prime Minister of Georgia held the 67th meeting of the Commission on European Integration. Irakli Garibashvili together with the heads of departments discussed a systematic approach to the issue of de-oligarchization, which is "implemented in accordance with the EU recommendation."
It was decided that the Government will develop an action plan. It will contain steps that will comply with the conclusions of the Venice Commission and the requirements of the European Union.
"It was noted that this is an important step that will further improve the implementation of the 12 recommendations and fully demonstrate the steps taken by Georgia before the preparation of the EU report", the Government Administration said in a statement.
The Head of Government was presented with a report prepared by various departments — a report on the implementation of the Integration and Association Agreement with the EU for six months of 2023.
"The country has made significant progress in this direction, which will be presented to European colleagues in the near future. The meeting participants discussed the implementation of the EU recommendations. The steps that need to be taken in the near future were discussed", the Government Administration said in a statement.
