A new international theater festival called "TRANS/mission – the ascent of Oriental art" appeared as a result of cooperation of theater companies from Georgia, Poland, Ukraine and Lithuania, the Batumi state drama theater said. I. Chavchavadze.

The focus of the future festival will be primarily dramatic art, as well as other theatrical forms. The program includes a variety of performances, concerts, film screenings, exhibitions, meetings with actors and much more.

"The festival carries an important ideological burden. It connects Georgia and Ukraine with the cultural quadrangle, and with two members of the European community - Poland and Lithuania. Cultural and geographical boundaries are crucial for all partners. And the innovative nature of the festival will serve as a source of inspiration for new events in the social and cultural spheres," the publication of the theater says.

It is known that Georgia will be represented at the festival by Batumi professional state drama theatre. I. Chavchavadze. With the first tour, the Batumi troupe will go to the Polish city of Rzeszow on August 22. In rzeszów there is also a Theatre named Wanda Samushkova where Batumi actors will present the play "Syndrome, or who eat who?".
