Hungarian Ambassador: We received guarantees that Georgia will take care of all its prisoners, including Saakashvili

We are not lawyers or doctors and we know that this case is also political. We cannot comment on politics, it's up to you and the Georgian people to decide on politics. What we want to make sure of is to get assurances that Georgia takes care of all its prisoners, whether the prisoner was previously a politician or someone else, they should be treated fairly.
And on the way to EU membership, there must be rule of law, it must be fair, it must be the same for everyone, and we have received guarantees that Georgia will take care of all its prisoners, including Mr. Saakashvili", said Siko.
As for the demarche announced by EU countries over Saakashvili's treatment, Siko said that "not everyone has signed it."
"I have to say that not everyone signed the demarche, that was certainly an opinion. But I will say that these demarches are about concern and clarification. I think today's meeting helped us get clarification on the issues that are out there. Also, Strasbourg and the Georgian court should be taken into account", the ambassador said.
