A few days ago everyone was talking about the visit of the Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani to Sinjar district, but unfortunately the visit never took place, the Prime Minister avoided visiting Sinjar district, the home of the long-suffering Yazidi population, the only district that suffers from neglect and lack of governance due to the instability in the region.

Al-Sudani was scheduled to visit the village of Kocho, which is south of Sinjar district, the village where the largest genocide of the Yazidi people in the last 100 years took place.

Yazidi activists expressed dissatisfaction with the government's promises and demanded that al-Sudani visit the Sinjar district, but he visited Bartella district instead.

Earlier, during a meeting with As-Sudani, the Supreme Spiritual Council of Yazidis demanded to solve the problems of the Sinjar district, to implement the Sinjar agreement, to deal with the Islamic radicals who accuse Yazidis of all deadly sins and set Muslims against Yazidis, to compensate Yazidis who suffered from ISIS attack on Sinjar.

A number of citizens of the autonomous administration held a demonstration in the Sinjar region, declaring their absolute opposition to the implementation of the Sinjar agreement signed three years ago. Yazidi activists said that if Yazidis were to impose a district commissioner, they would demonstrate and would not allow his appointment.

It was planned that the appointment of a district commissioner for Sinjar would take place during As-Sudani's visit, but unfortunately, neither the former nor the latter ever happened.
