Iraqi Kurdistan police announced the arrest of five suspects involved in a series of arson attacks in the Yazidi refugee camp in the city of Dohuk. Now the police are looking for other participants in the arson. About it transfers kurdistan24 TV channel with reference to sources in law enforcement agencies.

The first incident occurred on 6 August at camp Camsco (Dohuk),which completely burned down 20 tents. Then the two of arson was committed on 10 August, then burned more than 10 tents. Fortunately, none of the camp residents were affected by the fires, but material losses were incurred. Initially, the police believed that the cause of the fires was not broken wiring, but later managed to get on the trail of criminals.

The police did not disclose the motives that guided the criminals. The victims believe that the attackers were motivated by national and religious hostility towards Yezidis.

According to the International organization for migration (IOM), only 20 percent of the city's residents have returned to their homes in the past year after the complete liberation of Shangal from ISIS terrorists. And the remaining 80 percent of the city's residents continue to live in tent camps in Iraqi Kurdistan, Turkey, Greece and Syria.

One of the main factors hindering people from returning to their homes, according to IOM, is the lack of necessary infrastructure: water, electricity and the lack of necessary medical support, as well as poor security measures.
