According to Yazidi media reports in Afrin, specifically in Syria, Arshkibar village, a video of a Muslim sheikh circulated in which he claimed that two Yazidis accepted Islam voluntarily, but then it was revealed that they were forced to do so under pain of death, similar to what ISIS did in 2014.

According to Yazidi activists in Rove, these Yazidis belonged to the sheikh caste of clergy in Yazidi religion and the two men were forced to accept Islam under pain of death because they were under terrorist rule, so their conversion to Islam followed by coercion and intimidation.

According to Yazidi activists, there is another type of coercion pursued by armed groups, namely that entire villages are kept closed and isolated, depriving them of humanitarian aid until they declare their conversion to Islam.

"Ezidi 24" previously investigated this issue, and some of Yazidis in Syrian villages who are victims of the earthquake that struck Syria in February of this year said that they were deprived of any aid because of their religion.

Forcing Yazidis to accept Islam contradicts human rights and religious freedoms, and despite the presence of international organizations and national observers, the series of coercion continues.

Human rights violations against Yazidis in Syria continue, forcing them to leave their homes, destroying religious shrines and Yazidi cemeteries, which continues to cause mass migration of Yazidi population from Syria, and unfortunately European human rights organizations and the NATO block are silent about it.
