On 9 August, a fire broke out in the Yazidi refugee camp near the town of Dohuk (Iraq), which burned 5 tents.  Victims and victims managed to be avoided. The cause of the fire was faulty wiring.

This is the second fire in a week. Earlier, on August 6, a fire broke out in the Yazidi refugee camp located in the city of Zaho (Iraq), which burned 17 tents.

Annually in the tent camps there are fires associated with improper handling of gas appliances and faulty wiring.

According to the International organization for migration (IOM), only 20 percent of the city's residents have returned to their homes in the past year after the complete liberation of Shangal from ISIS terrorists. And the remaining 80 percent of the city's residents continue to live in tent camps in Iraqi Kurdistan, Turkey, Greece and Syria.

One of the main factors hindering people from returning to their homes, according to IOM, is the lack of necessary infrastructure: water, electricity and the lack of necessary medical support, as well as poor security measures.
