German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock visited Shangal (Sinjar), Baerbock visited the camps of Yazidi refugees in Kadiya and saw for herself in what non-human conditions, Yazidi refugees and displaced persons have been living in tents for 9 years, as well as the minister, accompanied by a well-known German journalist of Yazidi origin Duzen Tekkal, Yazidi human rights activist Mirza Dinnayi and Together with representatives of various NGOs, we visited the cemetery of the victims of the genocide in Kocho.

Annalena Baerbock promised to help restore normal life in the Yazidi region, as well as to prosecute those responsible for the genocide.

On her Instagram page, Annalena Baerbock wrote: "The village of Kocho in Iraq is one of the places in the world where evil has shown its face. Once Kocho was a village full of life, today it is a place of the dead and mourners. The world did not prevent the genocide of Yazidis, which took place before our eyes. The greater our responsibility to the survivors".

According to the residents of the Yazidi camp themselves, the local administration of the camp and Kurdish officials directly reporting to the office of Masoud Barzani hide the plight of Yazidi refugees and displaced persons, but the camp residents still have hope that after the visit of the German Foreign Minister, the truth will be revealed and the plight of Yazidis will become known.

We remind you that from 2014 to 2023, Germany provided over 800 million euros in aid to the camps of Yazidi refugees and displaced persons in Kurdistan, but what these amounts were spent on remains a mystery.
