The Prime Minister of Georgia held a meeting of the National Security Council

Under the leadership of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, a meeting of the National Security Council was held to discuss important trends in global and regional security, including the ongoing hostilities in Ukraine and the challenges facing Georgia.

According to the Government administration, special attention was paid to the important processes taking place in the Georgian occupied territories, and the process of updating conceptual documents at the national level was discussed, including the final version of the "Strategy for Integrated Management of the State Border of Georgia for 2023-2027", and a decision was made on its approval.

"Attention was paid to issues related to updating the "Threat Assessment Document" and the "National Strategy of Georgia for Disaster Risk Reduction".

At a meeting of the National Security Council, it was decided to hold a National Cybersecurity Forum this year.

The meeting participants also discussed the process of preparing a reform in the field of critical infrastructure protection", the information says.

According to the Government's press service, the meeting of the National Security Council chaired by the Prime Minister was attended by Secretary of the National Security Council, Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri and permanent members of the Council: Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze, Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili, Head of the State Security Service Grigol Liluashvili, Head of the Intelligence Service Shalva Lomidze, Head of the Special Service State Security Anzor Chubinidze and the Commander of the Defense Forces Giorgi Matiashvili.
