Yazidis have a folk wisdom that says the following: "A cohesive family is stronger than an entire village, a cohesive village is stronger than a city and if a city is cohesive, then it is stronger than an entire state". There is a great truth in this wisdom, because the family is an element of society, it is the cell that the country consists of. A society can be stable and develop only if it has a strong family institution, if family values are developed, if they are protected at a high level, if the institution of motherhood, fatherhood, the rights and freedoms of children is respected, only such a society has a future and present.

Today, in our times, the institution of the family can be transformed and influenced by various factors, but only a strong institution of the family can ensure the sustainable development of the people. In a society where family values are developed, there is trust between people and where there is mutual understanding, there is development, because trust leads to the development of relations between people and this in turn improves the economic condition of society.

Yazidi nation have been subjected to genocide 73 times and there has never been a stable and long-term peace on the territory of their homeland in the history of the existence of this people. As a result, the Yazidi people did not have the opportunity to fully develop their language, culture, traditions and customs, but all this was preserved thanks to the strong institution of the family, despite all the social difficulties, people thought about how to preserve, how to preserve their mentality, their ethnic code, their spirituality and all this developed exclusively thanks to the institute of the family. There was no such institution of the family that Yazidis had for many centuries anywhere in the world, because Yazidis did not place great hopes on the central authorities, due to their biased attitude and therefore the situation was very difficult.

Yazidis have suffered a lot in their history, obviously there is no other such people who have experienced so much suffering, so much persecution, expulsions from their native lands, as Yazidis have experienced, history has not seen anything like this. But Yazidi people survived solely thanks to the strong institution of the family, thanks to cohesion, organization. Even those Yazidis who fled the genocide from the Ottoman Empire to Armenia and Georgia were able to preserve their traditions, customs, culture and language solely thanks to unity, organization and folk wisdom. And that's how the Yazidi nation still exist, despite all the difficulties. Yazidis are scattered all over the world and there is hope that the time will come when the country of Yazidis, in the North of Iraq, will have opportunities for democratic development, prosperity, so that the Yazidi people can build equal and good—neighborly relations with friendly peoples, because Yazidis are a very peace-loving people who want to have good relations with everyone.
