More than a thousand dangerous gas heaters were dismantled in Tbilisi after the inspection

Last month the specialists of the capital gas distribution company Tbilisi Energy dismantled 1390 gas heating devices in the apartments of Tbilisi, which were installed or made by handicrafts or with violations of safety rules and which pose a threat to life.

"This means that hundreds of families have experienced intoxication and in the most severe cases, have ended in death", Tbilisi Energy said in a statement. 

The company published statistics for Tbilisi, the record for the use of unreliable gas equipment is in the Isani-Samgori-Vazisubani districts.  The best situation is in Vake, where the standard of living is higher and modern heating systems are more often installed in apartments.

Tbilisi Energy asks everyone to be extremely careful and follow the rules for the installation and use of gas equipment. Instructions are available on the company's website.
