More than 200,000 Yazidi pilgrims visit Lalish to celebrate "Cemaya Şixadî"

The administration of the Spiritual Council at the Lalish Temple informs that on the occasion of the celebration of the Yazidi holiday "Cemaya Şixadî", more than 200 thousand pilgrims are expected to visit the Lalish temple this year.

The administration of the temple declares the need to follow the instructions in connection with the celebration of the holiday. Visitors are advised to come in appropriate and appropriate clothing, not to bring any weapon or object that can harm a person into the temple territory. Cleanliness should be maintained and musical instruments should not be used and most importantly, the people who will enter the Lalish temple must be without shoes.

In honor of this holiday, Yazidi employees in the Government of the Kurdistan Region (KRG) will be given seven days off so that they can celebrate their religious holiday with their relatives and friends.

Yazidi holidays are officially approved by the Kurdistan Parliament, and "Cemaya Şixadî" is one of the most important religious events for the Yazidis of Iraq.

The holiday "Cemaya Şixadî" lasts seven days from October 6 to 13, this is a sacred time when all Yazidis try to make a pilgrimage to Lalish in order to unite as one people at their shrine.
