Khairy Ali Ibrahim, director of the Yazidi Organization for the Examination and Documentation of the Genocide of the Yazidi Minority in Iraq, confirms the relative deterioration of psychological conditions among Yazidi survivors. Based on the facts, the extermination against the Yazidis continues.

One young Yazidi survivor states that the presence and support of families goes a long way toward alleviating the suffering of those who are thinking of suicide, but unfortunately, the conditions of displaced Yazidis are harsh in light of their continued suffering due to displacement and the lack of political solutions to their problem. The women praise and are grateful for the late Baveh Shekh's decision to return and accept them into the community after being captured by ISIS terrorists, which shows great respect for women in the Yazidi community.

So far, there have been ongoing conflicts between several parties, internal and external, in Sinjar, as the federal government signed what has been called a "historic" agreement on Sinjar with the Kurdistan Regional Government on October 9, 2020, which included eliminating all factions and elements of the PKK and putting the region under the control of federal security forces, but this agreement has not been implemented on the ground due to the inability of Baghdad and Erbil to implement.

The United States considers what happened to Yazidis and Christians in Iraq and Syria to be genocide, U.S. President Donald Trump signed a resolution marked "HR390." The resolution included a commitment by the U.S. government to provide them with the necessary humanitarian aid to rebuild their liberated territories and bring to justice those responsible for these crimes.

In July 2021, the Belgian parliament unanimously approved the text of a resolution recognizing the genocide of the Yazidi minority in Iraq by ISIS.
