Georgians would be wise to close border, not allow Russian tourists at least in short term. An influx of fighting-age males into this small but important ally is very dangerous. We must see it’s a sacrifice, tourism is important.

The congressman commented on the situation on the Russian-Georgian border and the massive flow of Russians to Georgia. After the announcement of mobilization in Russia, a new wave poured into Georgia, people stand at the checkpoint on the land border from the Russian side for more than 30 hours.
