The photos above were not taken in the Middle East, they were taken in Europe. The people shown in the photos are Yazidi immigrants who, with difficulty, escaped from their difficult lives and made their way to Europe, more specifically to Greece.

Hundreds of Yazidi women, children, the elderly and young people in Greece are sleeping on the street without food and water. For two months now, these people have been sitting in front of the refugee camp and waiting... The Greek government has closed the road to them and does not allow them to enter the camp, which is a violation of refugee rights and law. Yazidi refugees who after 8 years of camp regime in Iraq decided to immigrate from the hell they were in. Many leave their country putting their lives in danger.

Is it not the duty of the Greek State and every European country, in accordance with the Constitution, conditions and rules of asylum, to accept a refugee who has applied to the state upon arrival? Yazidis are not accepted as refugees, they are not even allowed on the threshold of the IDP camp.

In that case, what do human rights organizations do, why are the Yazidi organizations in Europe silent?

We have dozens of businesses and organizations in our community, many have been established and exploited in Europe for 10, 20, 30 years. They are well aware of European society, system and politics, so why no one acts, why the oppression of the Yazidis in Greece is ignored.

We call on all the Yazidi human rights organizations, democratic and charitable associations and the entire Yazidi community, for two months now these people have been in a difficult situation, the public and the Yazidi community do not see it. We need to start acting, to start diplomatic work to solve this problem and to send a delegation to Greece. It is necessary to provide legal assistance to migrants, as it is known the work of lawyers is primarily to fight against injustice and the violation of human rights. Dear members of our community, Yazidis living in European countries, you can help these people, on such a difficult day the eyes of these people are waiting for help from all of us.

The Cultural Center of the Caucasus Yazidis appeals to lawyers and experts in Europe to confront this injustice. We hope and ask you to fulfill your duty to your Yazidi people and protect the rights and freedom of the Yazidis, according to the European constitution and laws.
