Hazim Tahsin Saied Beg (head of the Supreme Yazidi Spiritual Council in Iraq), in the presence of members of the Supreme Yazidi Spiritual Council, held a consultative meeting at the guest house at the Lalesh Temple with a large group of Yazidi religious and social activists from Sinjar.
The guests noted that 8 years have passed since the terrorist organization ISIS attacked the places of residence of the Yazidi people and carried out genocide against the Yazidis, but nothing has changed for the better for the Yazidis since then.
The head of the Supreme Spiritual Council of the Yazidis noted that today the Yazidis need each other more than ever: "In order to bring our voice and our message to the world, we need harmony and unity, we have many enemies, and we know from history that our enemies have always wanted to break us.
We must be one hand and a strong voice in front of the government in Baghdad and the Kurdistan Regional Government to ensure that our legal rights are taken into account.
It is my duty, as an emir of the Yazidi minority, to represent my people and to demand the rights of the Yazidis and not to neglect them. I admit to you that there have been failures on my part and on the part of the Supreme Spiritual Council of the Yazidis, but at all our meetings with ambassadors, consuls, foreign governments, UN representatives and before the governments of Baghdad and Erbil, we constantly demand justice for my Yazidi people", said Hazim Tahsin Saied Beg.
