135 457 Russian citizens visited Georgia in June
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 135 457 Russian citizens crossed the Georgian border in June. This means that the number of citizens entering Georgia from the Russian Federation has increased by 340 percent compared to the same period last year.
During the same period, 28 989 people from EU countries entered Georgia.
After the citizens of Russia, Armenia ranks second in terms of the number of visitors going to Georgia, 86 565 Armenian citizens crossed the border of Georgia, 69 973 people arrived from Turkey.
Israel, Ukraine and Kazakhstan are also among the seven countries whose citizens arrive in large numbers in Georgia.
It should be noted that 19 585 people arrived from Ukraine last month.
On July 6, the Georgian National Tourism Administration published data on crossing the border in June. The data of this state agency diverge from the data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the National Tourism Agency, 90 239 citizens of the Russian Federation crossed the Georgian border in June.
