The Tbilisi Open Air 2022 Music Festival will open today
The largest open–air music festival in the region - Tbilisi Open Air 2022, begins today in the Georgian capital.
Tbilisi Open Air returns after a three-year pause caused by the coronavirus pandemic. From June 24 to 26, more than 60 artists will perform at it.
The festival will be opened by one of the most stylish American bands of recent times — Cigarettes After Sex. The main stage will also feature Konoba, a songwriter and producer from Belgium, the Georgian synthpop band 4D Monster Lobsters, Bedford Falls rockers, musician Alexander Kordzaya (Kordz), known for his experiments in combining classics with electronic music.
Among the headliners of the festival are also British indie experimenters alt-J, the musical blowing Rhye from Los Angeles and the popular Ukrainian band Okean Elzy.
In addition to the main stage, Tbilisi Open Air 2022 presents three more venues. Georgian and foreign DJs will perform on EYESTAGE for three days, vocal groups and solo jazz performers will perform on SINGER STAGE, and ZION GARDEN will be a space inspired by Indian music and Goa vibe.
According to the tradition of recent years, Tbilisi Open Air 2022 will be held near Lake Lisi. Unlike in previous years, a couple of hundred meters from Lisi Wonderland there will be a car parking. You can get to it from the village of Thinvali.
On June 24, 25 and 26, free shuttle buses will also run from the Universitetskaya metro station (City Box platform) to Lisi Wonderland. Within three days, it will be possible to get to the festival by them from 14:00. The last minibus will depart from the festival territory at 02:00.
The organizers advise you to come to Lisi at least 1-2 hours before the performance of your favorite artist to avoid traffic jams and queues at the entrance.
Important: lasers, weapons, bicycles and mopeds, fireworks, spray guns, animals, construction tools, drones and other remotely controlled devices, food and drinks brought with you are prohibited at the festival.
Tickets for Tbilisi Open Air 2022 cost 80 GEL and the number will be limited.
One-day tickets and season tickets are sold online, on the website TKT.ge . Part of the funds from their sale will be transferred to help Ukraine.
