Representatives of the Supreme Spiritual Council in Iraq Hazem Tahsin Said and his wife Mian Khairi Bey took part in the ceremony of awarding diplomas of higher education to a group of Yazidi students in Kurdistan.

Hazem Tahsin Said congratulated the graduates on such a significant event in their lives: "We are very happy when we see that our daughters and sons are receiving higher education and various specialties for the future development of the Yezidi people. Despite all the suffering and tragedies to which we have been subjected, education is the engine of progress. Our students have faced many difficulties in camps and in places of resettlement, but despite this, they manage to achieve the highest results. The state should take care of the representatives of the Yezidi national minority, provide them with new opportunities, and begin work on the creation of institutions in the Sinjar district.

I wish all our student’s success and well-being in life!"
