In the Office of the Prime Minister of Iraq, the Independent Youth Movement held a meeting with the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq and UNAMI to provide the most accurate details on the situation in Sinjar. Namely, about protest actions with the demands of local Yezidis.

It is worth noting that for the first time in the history of Sinjar and Iraq, the protest overcame the barrier without registering any riots or any problems on the part of the Yazidi protesters, because they are just civilians.

Because of successive Iraqi governments, the Yezidis have been neglected, marginalized, unjust, oppressed. The Constitution has never given them due respect. Therefore, the Iraqi Government must respect the rights of the Yezidi people and respond to their demands. The Constitution should specify the rights of the Yezidi minority, which historically lives on the territory of present-day Iraq.

The demands of the Yezidis are clear, and the survivors conveyed them personally to Al-Kazemi when he visited the village of Kocho on the seventh anniversary of the genocide.

Requirements:

1. Providing special international protection to Yezidis, forming Yezidi security forces with international support and supervision, as well as signing a treaty with Iraq providing for the legitimacy of the UN Security Council intervention to protect Yezidis and other minorities in case they face threats in the future, whether from terrorist groups or reprisals from any other forces to prevent the occurrence of other genocides.

2. The formation of a special international court of justice for ISIL members who committed genocide and crimes against humanity against the Yezidis, since the case of the Yezidis is an international crime.

3. Prosecution and arrest of all ISIS elements around the world.

4. The formation of a fact-finding committee to find out the reasons for Sinjar falling into the hands of ISIS and to bring to justice those who were responsible for the security dossier at that time.

5. Do not try to impose national reconciliation on the Yezidis, because there will be no reconciliation until the identities of all local elements of ISIS are revealed and brought to justice, because peace cannot be achieved without achieving justice.

6. Opening of a joint intelligence operations center - between the international coalition and Iraqi and Syrian forces to search for and release the abducted Yezidis.

7. Implementation of the Law on Yezidi Survivors, issued by the Government of Iraq, with all its articles and paragraphs, as well as the creation of a real program of support, rehabilitation and integration of survivors.

8. International and local support for the reconstruction of Yezidi areas, the return of displaced persons and the cessation of military and administrative conflicts there.

9. Opening of mass and individual graves of Yezidis who have become victims of ISIS crimes, and completion of DNA matching procedures for the purpose of transferring them to their families.

10. Contribute to the documentation and archiving of ISIS crimes against the Yezidis and the construction of a museum, memorial, and a symbolic unified cemetery.

11. Opening of special institutions for children orphaned because of the genocide committed by ISIS.

12. Adopt a special law criminalizing incitement to violence against Yezidis and hostility to their culture and beliefs.

13. The transformation of the Sinjar district into a province and its suburbs into districts, the opening of consulates of countries and representative offices of international organizations in them, as well as the construction of universities, institutes, hospitals, roads, dams, and other vital facilities.

14. Speeding up the procedures for filing documents on compensation to repatriates, payment of compensation to victims of terrorism and military mistakes and payment of contributions due to them.

15. Pay tribute to the Yezidis by increasing their representation in the legislative, executive, judicial and security authorities in proportion to the population.
