Studying the history of the ancient East, historians often encounter such a factor as a radical change in the worldview, religion, and traditions of ancient peoples.
For example, the ancient peoples are the Egyptians and the Greeks. But their current culture is not identical to the ancient one. It is also influenced in ancient times by the new forms of religion adopted by these peoples. Therefore, it is quite difficult to distinguish the pre-Christian layers of the culture of these peoples. Moreover, the pre-Christian traditions of these peoples were based on polytheism, which contradicts today's leading world religions – the same Christianity and Islam.
In fact, in the east there are only two peoples in the Middle East who have lived and carried their culture and religion to our time since ancient times. These are Yezidis and Jews. Two peoples of the Middle East who originally professed monotheism. At the same time, the Yezidi community has been oppressed for hundreds of years, as in other things and at the present time.
This is also not accidental. As the same Jewish religious figures say, the exceptional suffering of the people is always connected with its exceptional mission for humanity. The world's evil falls most of all on those peoples who bring the concepts of good, peace, and justice into the world.
