German airline Condor Airlines made its first flight to Tbilisi

The plane of the German airline Condor Airlines made its first flight on the route Frankfurt-Tbilisi, according to the Association of Airports of Georgia.
Condor Airlines will operate regular flights twice a week. About 140 passengers arrived on the first flight to Georgia.
Frankfurt has become the third city in Germany where it will be possible to fly from Tbilisi airport.
"These flights are important both from the point of view of direct destinations, i.e., the presence of large passenger flows between Frankfurt and Tbilisi, and transatlantic significance, since Condor Airlines is quite widely represented in the North American market and, accordingly, Georgian passengers will be able to fly to the United States with this airline's aircraft," said the aviation business Development manager of the Airports Association Georgia's Vako Chilashvili on the air of Channel One.
Condor Airline was founded in 1955. Its main base is located at Frankfurt Airport. As of July 2021, the airline owns 50 Boeing and Airbus aircraft. Condor flies to the Mediterranean countries, Asia, Africa, North and South America.
Regular flights to Georgia have been resumed since February 1, 2021. Most tourists in January arrive in Georgia by air through Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi international airports, which account for almost 50% of those entering the country.
