The trial of former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, accused in the case of the events of November 7, will be held in the Tbilisi City Court today on January 24 at 12:00.
According to existing information, Mikheil Saakashvili will not attend tomorrow's meeting.
For reference, the state prosecution charges Mikhail Saakashvili with the mass dispersal of protesters on November 7, 2007, the invasion of the Imedi TV company and the seizure of property belonging to Badri Patarkatsishvili by criminal means.
The former President of Georgia was charged under Article 333 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies abuse of official authority, entailing a significant violation of the rights of individuals or legal entities, the legitimate interests of society or the state, which provides for imprisonment for a term of 5 to 8 years.
In this case, Vano Merabishvili, Zurab Adeishvili, David Kezerashvili and Gigi Ugulava are accused together with Saakashvili.
