Information security standards confirmed to the National Bank of Georgia

The National Bank of Georgia has received the certificate of the international information security standard ISO 27001 for the third time, according to the regulator's website.
ISO 27001 is an internationally recognized information security management standard, which the National Bank of Georgia is trying to comply with and has been working on its improvement for many years.
"Compliance with the ISO 27001 standard is important for the National Bank and for the development of the financial sector as a whole ... The purpose of the audit was to assess the compliance of the existing information security management system in the National Bank with the requirements of the ISO 27001 standard," said Vakhtang Burkiashvili, Executive Director of the National Bank.
According to Burkiashvili, both Georgian and foreign companies participated in the audit of the information security management system of the regulator in accordance with the international standard. The certificate was issued by the German certification body TUV SUD management Service GmbH.
Management Systems Consulting company has been cooperating with the National Bank of Georgia for seven years. During this time, local and international consultants TUV SUD Management Service GmbH implement the information security management system DIN EN ISO / IEC 27001: 2017, carry out appropriate control and certification.
"We are glad that thanks to our successful bilateral cooperation, we have contributed to the availability, confidentiality and integrity of information in the National Bank," said Elguja Meladze, Director of Management Systems.
