Nadia Murad was banned from performing in Canada, her performance was canceled in order not to incite "Islamophobia" among the population

The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) in Canada wanted to cancel the speech of Nobel Peace Prize laureate, UN Goodwill Ambassador, and human rights activist from Iraq Nadia Murad, who survived abduction, torture and violence at the hands of ISIS militants because of unwillingness to "provoke Islamophobia." This is reported by The Telegraph.
Nadia was supposed to speak to schoolchildren to present her book "The Last Girl", where she talks about the execution of her family, abduction, and sale into sexual slavery to terrorists at the age of 14.
However, the director of the largest Canadian council, Helen Fisher, refused to speak to the human rights activist, since, in her opinion, the book can be considered offensive to Muslims. Her position caused discontent among the parents of the students.
"ISIS is a terrorist organization. She has nothing to do with ordinary Muslims. TDSB should be aware of the difference," said one of the parents.
As it becomes clear, Canada, the United States and Europe still do not understand the difference between ISIS-radical Islam with a fascist worldview and Muslims professing Islam.
Council spokesman Ryan Bird, in a message to Fox News, explained that Fisher's decision does not reflect the position of the TDSB, and the cancellation of the speech is not final.
Nadia Murad became a victim of sexual violence when in 2014 the terrorist group "Islamic State" (IS), which seized part of the territory of Syria and Iraq, began the genocide of the Yezidis. In Kocho, Nadia's native village, hundreds of men were killed, and many young women and children were held as sex slaves by militants. Nadia was able to escape from the terrorists after three months.
