Dear readers yazidis.info We have already written and told you about the release of a young Yezidi girl from ISIS captivity, namely, we are talking about Sipan Khalil, a 22-year-old girl who was captured at the age of 15 by the Islamic State (ISIS). Recall that Sipan managed to be released this summer, but after enduring many years of suffering in the captivity of terrorists, having been released, the girl stumbled upon several new failures. (http://yazidis.info/ru/news/5919/).
Sipan's release from her ordeal was bittersweet, after returning, Sipan was with her brother in the Khanke camp in Iraq. Her father and brother are still missing, and her mother and four siblings managed to escape when ISIS lost ground, moving to Germany after their release.
Sipan has not seen her mother since the terrible events of August 2014, she tried unsuccessfully several times to get a German visa in Erbil, each time the girl was refused. The girl never managed to see her mother during her lifetime, since on Sunday, November 7, Sipan's mother died of a stroke in Germany.
Now the girl, with the help of activists, has called on the German government to show mercy and help her enter the country to say goodbye to the body of her mother, who will be buried on Tuesday. As we learned, the girl and her brother were still given permission to travel to Germany for their mother's funeral.
To date, the Duhok Institute of Psychotherapy and Psycho-Traumatology has sent more than 1,000 rescued Yezidi women and children to Germany.
According to the Office for the Rescue of Abducted Yazidis, more than 120,000 Yazidis left Iraq after the war with ISIS. Of the 6,417 people abducted by ISIS, only 3,550 were returned to their families.
