There is no doubt that elections play an important role in changing the political equation in any country. To persistently achieve the desired goals, various segments of the population must actively participate in the political life of the country if they really want change.
Women, as half of society, play a very important role in changes, and from this point of view they must really participate and prove that they are half of society to change the country's position regarding women's rights. The women of Shangal are participating in the parliamentary elections for the second time, while they are moved to camps for displaced persons because of aspirations and hopes for change, on the one hand, and despair and disappointment, on the other hand, and all this because of the presence of the same persons in power and their inability to do anything but empty promises.
The bitterness of the previous elections still haunts the imagination of Yazidi refugees and displaced persons, as their votes were burned. The authorities seek to establish their control over the choice of the voter by all possible efforts and means, legal or even illegal.
It is the duty of society to actively participate in the elections and contribute to the changes and wait for the results in the hope that the one who deserves to be in parliament and represent the interests and rights of the Yezidi people will win.
