The experts did not have any comments about the protocol that the clinics follow, Tsertsvadze claims.
Representatives of the World Health Organization are in Georgia and are studying the activities of the country's clinics in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital Tengiz Tsertsvadze said.
According to him, they had no comments about the protocol that the clinics follow.
"The control protocol is good. Now there is a review, but only because the new opportunities that have appeared and have not yet been approved by the regulatory body would have been reflected in the protocol in advance," Tsertsvadze said on Palitranews.
Georgia's protocol for the treatment of coronavirus has been and remains one of the best in the world, Tsertsvadze noted.
"I categorically declare that the protocol does not cause an increase in deaths in any way. The loss of people is painful for people: 80 dead, 70 dead... But they do not think about the fact that we have these 60 and 80 dead out of 60 thousand patients. They do not take this into account and talk about the protocol," Tsertsvadze said.
Meanwhile, a part of the Georgian population in social networks accused the Ministry of Health of the country of improper treatment, untimely and ineffective assistance.
Georgia has experienced the fourth wave of coronavirus. Due to the spread of the Indian strain, this wave turned out to be the strongest and most painful. Cases of infection began to grow, followed by a high mortality rate.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 589 thousand cases of infection have been recorded in Georgia, more than 554 thousand have recovered, 8,390 people have died.
